Part-Time Community Organizer
The Randall Slagle for Justice of the Peace Campaign is offering positions for Community Organizers. Working closely with our Deputy Campaign Manager and Field Organizer you will motivate and activate the community to ensure a just court. As a Community Organizer you will help elect a man who has been the Chief Prosecutor of every Criminal Court at law in Travis County, including the Domestic Violence Court. This is a race about electing the most qualified candidate to ensure all residents of Travis County receive their fair day in court.
The ideal candidate has a passion for active participation in political process, cares about the issues that affect citizens on the local level, such as; efficiency in government, public safety, and a fair labor market.
Ambitious self-starter capable of working on your own and holding yourself accountable for personal performance.
Professional demeanor and presentation.
Strong communication skills.
Confidence and comfort with public speaking
Preferred major in Political Science, Sociology, Communications.
Priority given to those with past experience with political campaigns, field or phone canvassing, using a voter database, or analyzing election data.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. From $10-$12/hour.
